I just did my update and my ionic shut completely off and will not come back on. I contacted customer service and im being told my watch is not covered under warranty and that I would have to but another Ionic!!! Its not even a year old. How perfect fitbit sends me an update and ruins my watch and its my fault and I have to pay!!! I don't think I will ever use fitbit again. I am so disappointed right now

Welcome to the club! Fitbit is a totally unethical company acting in their own self interest and without a real care to customer service. They spew the canned responses and then tell you sorry your are out of luck, pay us again.
I bought a new Garmin after they killed my ionic. I had some tech support questions as a new Garmin user. They spent over an hour with me on the phone just helping me get used to the new environment. The metric and information available is much more robust.
I was a years long fitbit user, upgrading several times over the years. But I have washed my hands of Fitbit. Nice business model. What a joke.
