FitBit ionic not syncing

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

My Ionic is not syncing, and it’s gotten

worse since the last update. I’ve tried turning off the Ionic and turning off my iPhone 6s+.

It takes a long long time to connect to WiFi. It randomly stops counting steps, and other times, there’s an unusually high count (like yesterday, 25,000 steps!) I want to love my Ionic, but this is  very frustrating!

If you're having syncing issues it's worth taking a look at this fitbit help document. It has some troubleshooting steps you can follow.

That didn’t help. I’ve switched my iPhone on and off, deleted and reinstalled the app and tried syncing it as a new device. I tried factory reset but now it’s stuck saying error need to sync to delete data. Absolutely fuming as it was fine until the latest software update.

@Vix46 The following solution was posted in a different thread regarding the error message after doing a factory reset.

Now it’s just flashing at me and the app can’t find it

I found a wonderful solution and now I am pleased as peaches about it. I got me a new cell phone that is compatible with my Ionic.  I got me the Samsung Galaxy 8 and every thing works well.

Restart your phone and the Ionic by pressing and holding the left button and bottom right button together for 15 secs (until you see the fitbit logo).

I’ve had the Fitbit one & blaze and the ionic for the past 8 months all worked great with my iPhone thanks. I’d say it’s the update to blame not my iPhone.

@Vix46 I would recommend contacting Fitbit support, hopefully they will be able to determine whether the issue is hardware or software related and provide you with a satisfactory solution.

Already done that on Twitter. Still waiting an hour later for a reply to my message. I won’t be changing my iPhone, I’ll be looking for a new tracker that’s not a Fitbit

Doing the same. Disappointing tech combined with terrible customer service.
