Dear Friends,

I have kept device for charging overnight but still it is not waking up.

Hello Silvia

Thank you very much for the feedback. I cleaned both charger and watch with hand sanitizer, it worked. Now my watch is ON working in good condition

I tried using rubbing alcohol as others have mentioned but that didn't seem to work well enough in my case.

I noticed my charger center (power) pin appeared to be rusted so I soaked the end of the cable in CLR (rust remover) cleaner which fixed the problem.

just so everyone is aware... when you have a replacement watch that has also failed and more than 1 year has passed from the original watch's date of purchase/warranty period, you are supposedly no longer eligible for a free replacement. Fitbit will only offer you a % discount on buying a new watch.

in my case though:

Ionic#1 12-25-2017 to 7-4-2018 (R.I.P.) 100% free replacement Case#2MXV84WRP

Ionic#2 8-3-2018  to 2-10-2019 (R.I.P.) 100% free replacement Case#25649209

Ionic#3 3-28-2019 to 2-21-2020 (R.I.P.) 100% free replacement Case#28851596

Ionic#3 is for some reason not under warranty anymore(based on Fitbit's warranty policy, i guess it shouldn't have been a free replacement).

i reached out for help on March 5th 2020 and was told my case was being referred to support, but i never got any support... and now i am only offered a 25% discount on purchase of a new Ionic.

i love this watch, but it is terrible and it in my experience cannot last a year before failing a miserable and common battery related death that many other Ionic owners have also experienced.

😥
