Fitbit Ionic Fitpay setup error 0.

Hi ladies and Gents, Just trying to setup my FitBit wallet, as i press get it comes up with the "preparing..." message but doesn't get any further then this.

 

just pops up an error message saying "the operation couldn't be completed. (fitbit.paymentsError erroe 0.)"

I've tried un-pairing though Bluetooth and restarting both iphone and ionic as well as deleting the FitBit application and re downloading it on the apple store nothing has worked thus far. 

 

Anyone else had this problem and know a solution?

Hi Brett,

I was able to get around this using a different device. My iPhone 5 did not work but used my iPad with the latest iOS version 11 allowed me to complete the setup.

Hi all.

 

Just wanted to jump in here to provide a quick update. 

 

Our engineering team has informed me that the issue related to this 'setup pay error' has been identified and will be resolved in a future update. 

 

In the meantime, the recommended workaround is to set up Fitbit Pay using an alternate mobile device as @danielkadamsjr suggested.

Hi all! I'm happy to report that our team released a fix for this Fitbit Pay setup issue on the iOS app version 2.47.

 

Please update your Fitbit iOS app, and try to add your card to the wallet. For general questions about setting up Fitbit Pay, checkout this help article: What should I know about Fitbit Pay?

Still not working. How do I put in this os update?  I see no new updates available?

On your phone select App Store and then Updates.  You will see an icon for Fitbit.  Select UPDATE and the new version will begin downloading. You need to have Fitbit app previously installed on your phone for this to work.

Apparently this issue is back. I have the same problem happening with my Charge 3 SE on my iPhone 7 on the latest version of the App that came out a few days ago.

My Fitbit Charge 3 was working fine a few weeks ago with Fitbit pay. Seems to have lost the all the credit card settings and won't let me re-sync again - keep getting the error message. This is on a I-Phone 6plus with latest iOS update.

Hi! I'm having this same issue, but have the latest app version. Weird thing is it worked the first time I tried to set it up, but then I had to work out some things with my bank because I couldn't set it up. Now I get the same "preparing" screen and error. My charge 3 is the latest version and I have even tried uninstalling the app. Is there anything else I can try or do I have to wait for another app update?

I also have this problem. Tried re-installing the app, resetting the Charge 3, etc

Is there an update in the making?

Turn your device off and then on again.

(Settings - Divice info  - Switch off)
