Fitbit Ionic Wont Turn On

My Iconic was working fine until recently. 3 days ago it synced no problem. The battery life dropped to about 5% so I charged it when I got home. At least I thought it was charging. My Iconic is now completely dead. I left it on the charger all day and nothing. I have cleaned the contacts, tried charging from my laptop, a wall charger, and a USB wall outlet. Nothing!!! It wont even show the charging screen. I have tried holding the buttons to reset it and nothing. Cant do a factory reset because it will not turn on at all.

Any suggestions before customer service.:( its less than a year old.

Sounds pretty familiar unfortunately.  Would contact Tech Support now and see if it is defective.  If they cannot get it going properly they will typically offer you a replacement right away.  When completely dead there is not much that can be done.

Really there is no need to suffer in Frustration - simply call Tech Support at 877-623-4997 and get your Ionic replaced right now while you can
Many have followed this straightforward advice and now have a replacement Ionic - we all should have “zero tolerance” for any defective Ionic

@Sfrancis36 Welcome to the Fitbit forums! Thanks for taking the time to post the situation you are experiencing with your Ionic not charging. Thanks for trying those steps in order to sort this out.

Before contacting customer support; please try changing the clock face on your Ionic. This has helped other users in the past.

@Whistler888 Thanks for sharing your help on this thread.

Hope this helps. Keep me posted! Smiley Happy

Welcome to the club.... with tax I spent $459.00 CDN on my Ionic for it to fail 15 months after purchase. I don’t think I own any other devices that on average cost $30 per month to operate. I get it that Fitbit has policies in place for a reason, but whe hundreds of ionic are failing-without a reason, without a fix and without a solution-then there is a problem that they should fix.
