Fitbit Ionic battery draining

Hello Everyone.

I've had my iconic for a while and have no issues concerning the battery and charging every 7 to 8 days. However just today my battery is now draining from 90+ percent down to 9 percent.

Has anyone had similar issues?

It's a good company I'm sure they have a bad batch of batteries.

So this happened tonight along with the unresponsiveness of the buttons and the screen. This happened while I had the screen on manual. I don't think that's a battery issue I think that's a hardware issue. I really like this product if it could get fix that would be great. I am willing to bring it to somewhere to get it looked at by a "professional."

UPDATE 8PM EST

It finally died today. I had purchased it from best buy 12/31/2017. I returned it there and exchanged it for another one. Just synced it and did all the set up. Here's hoping this doesn't poop in a year again!

My ionic battery is only lasting 1 day. When I first bought it the battery would last 4-5 days now I am lucky if I get a full day out of it. I tried doing a factory reset but that did nothing to fix the problem. Anyone else having this issue and know how to fix it.

My settings are set for optimum battery life. I have the display set to manual wake and it only stays awake for 10 seconds, the gps is only used for running, it's not turned to all day sync so I don't know what is causing the issue.

Fitbit posted this in another thread:

“We're aware that some of you may have noticed a fast battery drain on your Ionic watches after completing this firmware update. Our team is investigating the root cause of this issue and whether it was caused by this update or other factors are involved.”

“I'm sorry to hear that some of you are still having problems with the battery draining faster than it should with the last firmware update. Thank you all for your patience with this.”

See if it helps to call Tech Support at the number linked below.  Depending on the circumstances they will replace your Ionic.  They replaced mine because it crashed  randomly during Exercises.  Many others have reported fast battery drain as well.

Really there is no need to suffer in Frustration - simply call Tech Support at 877-623-4997 and get your Ionic replaced right now while you can
Many have followed this straightforward advice and now have a replacement Ionic - we all should have “zero tolerance” for any defective Ionic

my iconic started draining fast last weekend, the battery lasts around a day & half. tonight

i tried to reset (pressing single button & bottom button) but the screen just blinks & back to the watch face. I have done the update the fitbit app on my phone. I will charge it again tonight & see how it goes tomorrow
