Fitbit Ionic ceased tracking steps

My Ionic quit tracking my steps today and I haven't been able to find any method to fix it. I've tried:

  • Turning the Ionic off via Settings > About > Shutdown
  • Restarting it via holding the left button and the bottom right button for ~10 seconds
  • Disconnecting and reconnecting it to the fitbit mobile app
  • Resetting the Ionic to factory settings and reconnecting it to fitbit app

The watch has been syncing fine with the fitbit app it just doesn't seem to track any movement or heart rate from me.  It also quit tracking the detailed sleep about a month or so ago but that wasn't something I was too concerned with fixing.

I've also tried change watch faces and that has not fixed the issue.
