@Ralendil Have you tried a restart of the watch yet? Give that a try and let me know if that helps to bring it back to life.
I had an issue where the screen wouldn't come on but the app said it was synched with the watch and the heart rate monitor lights were on. I did the reset with the left and bottom right buttons and this brought it back briefly and then the display dimmed and went off again and wouldn't come back. I reset it again and changed the brightness from Auto to Normal. It seems that the Ionic, on auto brightness, thinks we don't need to see the screen in the evening time - the auto brightness is either broken on mine or it sucks!
Followed your advice and now back and working. Thankyou. Frustrating that I missed tracking my run, but pleased I have it back now
I've the same issue. Screen went dead, tried resetting with two, three buttons, plugged, unplugged, nothing works. Lasted 45 days. Weird thing is that the phone still shows the Ionic as syncing. Notifications still vibrate on the watch, I went to jog and got my 8000 steps notification (that one that vibrates a lot). So it seems that it's just the screen.
Main issue I have is that I bought from Amazon and I'm from Chile, so I guess the replacement won't be cheap... right now emailing with support.
Worked perfectly for me. Now the question is, why did the screen go dead without any action from my part (and i had jsut charged the Ionic to 100% last night. I was a Blaze user for 18 months and never had that issue...
Mine did the same thing just tonight. Only had itr since Christmas. Had to do the button reset to even get it to do anything. Charger wouldn't get screen to come on. And the heart monitor green light was constantly flashing. Hopefully this doesn't continue. Or I'll be returning it
I had the issue happen over and over on the Fitbit iconic I received for Xmas, so just about 8 days of having it. Returned it through Amazon, got a new one last evening. The same thing happened this afternoon with the new one after wearing it for 12 hours: screen blacks out. The only way to get it back on is to press left button and bottom right. Problem is, then the watch is basically stuck at the time the screen went dead and you have it resync it. This appears to be a major flaw for a £300 watch. Has anyone experienced this on more than 1 watch? I will give it another 5 days, an de I feel happens again, will either revert to my old Blaze or get an Apple Watch.
I am in process returning my now totally dead Ionic back to FitBit in the Netherlands for a full refund (they pay you back for tracked shipping too) as arranged with support
You must have a returns number via email to do this.
All off back of it powering itself down then me having to fight with it to boot back up again.
Have resynced trusty Surge and I am so happy I did not sell that on as I planned to do.
Bad advertising for FitBit as twice in two Les Mills Body Combat/pump classes I cussed out as I noticed the Ionic had powered down on me during and losing me those workouts data.
All in front of 30+ participants in each session. All those people now potentially feeding out that FitBits latest flagship release is duff technology....
After 2 1/2 weeks of no issues, mine got down to about 3% and when charging the screen went dead. Nothing suggested here seems to work, I am SO bummed. 😞
My first Fitbit product...fail.
I have had my Ionic since Boxing day, and on two occasions I have had odd things happen, last week it re-booted itself while out on a run and tonight the screen wouldn't turn on, this time I held the left and bottom right button to re boot it manually. All is fine now, but I hope this is not a sign of more troubles in the future.
Best AnswerThe same for me. I pressed both left and right bottons togheter.
