Best AnswerI hope the message at the top of my Fitbit desktop screen is true "We have resolved the issues affecting Versa and Ionic..." My factory replacement of Ionic just arrived and I can't wait to prove Fitbit's correct about resolving the problem. Stay tuned. For those with problems drill down in the menus to chat with customer service and tell them all you did to try to fix. Finally, they will tell you to make a video of pressing all three buttons for 15 seconds to prove your watch is not working and send you authorization to return your unit for a replacement. Good luck to you.

I actually had to publish three video's. In the final 'take' I had to show a serial number they had texted to me; I had to include footage of the back of Ionic to prove it was on charge and follow the cable all the way to the port of my laptop. Then I had to show the laptop screen (with chat session showing) to prove power was on. Finally, of course, I had to press the three buttons for 15 - 30 seconds.
I was ready to provide theme music had 'Take 4' been necessary. Something Wagnerian.

Hello everyone! I hope you're all doing well. Thanks for posting your reports regarding the Ionic's screen not turning on.
First, I'd recommend performing a restart on Ionic. This usually helps sorting this out.
If this doesn't work, please try installing a new clock face on Ionic. This has worked for other users who were experiencing some issues with their display too.
If none of these work and Ionic is still "dead" please report that to customer support. They should be able to assist you further and provide the best resolution possible. If you need me to contact them on your behalf, please let me know and I'll be glad to.
Try this out and let me know how it goes! ![]()
My Ionic ran out of battery one night and did not want to charge no matter what i tried. It was basically totally dead until i came by Kmoyer13´s solution; Holding the left and bottom right button WHILE plugging in and unplugging the charge connector to the watch a few times. Suddenly the screen came back to life and everything was back to normal, and has been ever since ![]()
I think Community OP´s should add these steps to their list of possible solutions.
Fitbit replaced my watch after many DIY maneuvers failed. I know many of us like to hack around these issues but this is a consumer product that should pretty much work like claimed. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that Fitbit has resolved the issue - they state they have...
This is probably by far the worst fitbit I have ever owned. It seems like this is a issue with the iconic. I have also tried the left button and bottom right. I can get it to show me battery life of 0. But the screen goes off and will only reappear again with the same information after another 10 to 15 seconds. I have searched for a factory reset on my app and cant seem to locate the "about". I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. But guess now, I cant go any further because Iconic is dead, so you cant sync it. Worst fitbit ever.
I've had my factory replaced Ionic for about a month and it has been trouble free, so far. Though costly for the Company, they should have issued a blanket recall instead of being so coy about the issue and making it so difficult to get a replacement. This isn't exactly a VW like moment for the company in that there was no intentional malfeasance involved but I'm sure it has made a permanent dent in the customer base. I've got my fingers crossed...
Best AnswerHolding the 2 buttons one on the left and the bottom right for about 10 seconds worked for me on my ionic

I have already mentioned that I sent mine back and it was replaced - a mini recall, but from the sounds of continuing user complaints, a possible tidal wave.
