All day I’ve had issues when I sync. My Ionic is showing my steps but not syncing anything else. No exercise. No reminder to move hours (I’ve got my steps every hour)....nothing will work. I’ve signed out and back. I’ve turned phone off. I’ve even deleted the app and added it back. Anyone else having issues?

Welcome on board @CalebLeung, it's nice to see you here! Have you checked if your Sony Xperia is included in our list of supported devices? If so, please try following the steps provided in the article: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
If your phone is not yet included in the list, while a phone or tablet may not be verified as fully compatible, the Fitbit app may still work with your device.
Our team routinely test new devices to ensure full compatibility with Fitbit devices and the Fitbit app, and are constantly working to confirm compatibility with new phone models. Be sure to verify that your phone meets the minimum operating system requirements.
Please keep in mind that when a device is not supported we cannot guarantee its functionality with the Fitbit app. It might work at a certain time and then it can stop working out of nowhere after an update. This is because the app is not optimized to that device and any change could impact the performance.
I'll be around if you need further assistance!

My Sony Xperia is XZ2 premium, which is in the supported phone list.

Indeed, it was used to be OK to sync until earlier this week.

Hi @CalebLeung! Thanks for getting back and for confirming that your phone is included in the list of Supported Devices. So, try the troubleshooting steps at: Why won't my Fitbit device sync?
If the issue persists, please go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone and remove the tracker. In the list of Bluetooth devices you'll see the Charge 3 and next to it, this symbol "!". Hit the symbol and it will take you to the next step, once you're there select the option that says "Forget this device" or "Unpair".
Once you've made sure about that, go back to the Fitbit app, go to the "Account" option in the upper right corner and select "Set up a Device". This should start the setup process for your device.
Hope this helps, let me know the outcome!

No, it still doesn't work with my Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium. I end up syncing with my iPad mini again.
I honestly hate iOS phone due to its limitation but to be honest the fitbit syncing with my current Sony or my previous Sony do have persistent problem. Please try to fix the syncing problem with Android phone before losing customers. Both my Sonys are in the supported phone list according to fitbit. It was able to sync for a while, then never able to do it, while the phone bluetooth has no problem as it is able to connect to other device, say headphones.
Update: I would suggest if the sync can be done via NFC it would be great. The bluetooth sync do have a persistent problem with Android. I cannot do that for almost a week already with my Sony.

Thanks for getting back @CalebLeung! I'd like to give thanks for the feedback you've provided towards our product. Rest assured that our engineers and product development team use this information to further improve our products and services.
If your phone is managing multiple Bluetooth connections simultaneously:
These interruptions are typically caused by operating system and Bluetooth limitations. It's also possible that an app on your phone is causing the issue.
Since you have an Android phone, try these steps:
The API used in these apps makes it difficult for Fitbit to communicate reliably with your phone. Ford provides a list of apps but note that other companies may use the API as well.
Hey there @ziggy1712, thanks for jumping in here and for posting a picture showing what your Ionic and app show. While reading your post I was wondering if you've tried the troubleshooting steps I've posted here?
Looking forward to your response!

Hi Maria ,
The sync issue got resolved. Here's how. -
My Ionic battery was at 24% around 17:30 while i was at work. The battery drained itself out to zero at around 19:30. I got back home , charged the Ionic and it synced perfectly with the phone. Wore it today in the morning for a 6kms run. It worked perfectly and synced perfectly today in the morning.
I am however wondering as to why such an excellent battery drained out in 2 hours last evening. Would be great if you could throw some light on that. I wasn't using it or anything. Last week 24% lasted me 2 days.
Regards
Sagar

My sync issue is solved as well. Thank you very much!
However, I would also think enabling NFC sync would be great in the future.
This is my second Fitbit BTW, used to have a Surge. Please try to improve not to lose any customers! Thank you very much everyone!

The frustrating thing is, yes, the proposed solutions work....temporarily. We should not have to re-install the app, restart the watch, re-pair, or restart bluetooth EVERY FEW DAYS just to get the watch to sync. I had a Blaze before, it was solid. The Ionic is an unstable product with a lot of bugs. I've had it about a year, it's had syncing issues most of the time. I just recently noticed the music cutting out problem on runs. I'm about to leave Fitbit for good and find a quality product.
