@Nedwob:No more child like than suggesting Fitbit has contempt for their customers because the retail price is different in different countries. (and no, not American)

Just child like then . Using the fluctuations between Stirling and the euro to justify a products price is unworkable using fitbits logic it’s not a currency it’s a product. Don’t bother responding to this you as I’m not that interested

I read the article. That is an article from BBC, not a promise from Fitbit - correct?

Did you consider that shipping to a tiny island on the other side of the world, and import duties paid to the UK government may be the reason it's more expensive for you to buy in the UK? What makes you jump to such a quick conclusion that Fitbit have contempt for their market?

You may be correct but all my Fitbits purchased/replaced in the UK have come from Holland so only a short hop away. I asked Fitbit directly why we are being charged so much and their response was nothing to do with shipping, but pricing their products competitively across regions (which I took to mean, whoever can afford to pay the most) 😉

So something that was never listed in the specs was advertised on TV? Really? I'm not convinced at all, so please do point us to the advertisement, any advertisement. Telly or anything. All we've seen is the press statement for shareholders as a future, and articles based around the press statement.

Articles where the press had discussions with Fitbit management, providing information that went beyond the press release. Fitbit PR and mgmt knew those articles would get written, and actively encouraged the articles by participating in Q&A with the press.
