Although my Ionic failed after 15 months and the company continues to hide behind a warranty and will not replace the device and is only offering a discount, I still like the concept of the Ionic over other products. Before I make a final decision I was wondering if the Adidas version is having the same issues.

I’m no expert but I think the Adidas version has identical hardware and software with just a few added special “Adidas” touches. My Ionic was pretty flawless until the latest software update and now there are occasional glitches. I too like the Ionic and when I get frustrated I think about switching devices but then wonder if people on those other forums get frustrated with their own devices and contemplate switching to Fitbit 🙂

I am wondering the same thing as my Ionic failed after 14 months. I got the red triangle and punctuation mark of death. I really liked my Ionic. I was hoping that perhaps the Adidas one was more durable.

I had a regular ionic, and it became water logged today 9-11-19. I've had it about 20 months.....but today it came to an abrupt end. I simply swam in a pool, and it got wet....so with that being said I contacted support where of course they told me it's no longer under warranty....
So basically don't swim with your Fitbit after the year warranty is up.....you'll become a unsatisfied Fitbit user.

My first Ionic lasted 14 months. After it failed I replaced with the Adidas version (I too liked the concept of Ionic) but it failed only after 5 months. So I really don't think the Adidas version is a more upgraded version of the normal Ionic.
