Honestly, if your Fitbit has died and out of warranty...please do not
expect Fitbit to help or resolve your issues...this thread has many
unsatisfied customers.

Are you going to to stand by your product and replace our Fitbit’s that quit working so soon after purchasing them?

@AndreaFitbit  Hi,

Nothink help. I changed port, try with sertified powerbank, clear contact with alhochol nothink help. It is look like battery just dead instant. Even with ampermeter/voltage  is showing is dead.....
It was alsmost the same last year. But it fixed.  Now is dead....

That's rich! Puts out a very expensive product that is lucky to make it a
year, barely works for basic functions, clearly has faults that there is no
intent to stand behind beyond a year, and then claim that we definitely
stand behind our products.

I'm done with Fitbit, as are many others here.

"I can assure you that Fitbit stand behind their product."

@AndreaFitbit I'm sorry but your claim doesn't stand up to reality. If standing behind your product means asking customers to buy new products to replace clearly defective products. Let's face facts. Fitbit ionic had defective batteries and endless firmware bugs. I got virtually nothing or of one year of ownership unless you count frustration and taste of my time.

And shortly after a year the product failed dramatically and your "support team" offered me a discount to buy a new lemon. If that's what you call standing by your product I really don't know what to say.

Own up to your defects and actually do something for customers who paid good money and you will win back some trust. Otherwise you will see many more like me who will never buy a Fitbit product again or recommend it.

okay so my fitbit died back in april.  same situation as everyone else.  well bought a new one last week.  my husband picked up my ionic and set it on charger and lo and behold it came on.  working fine now.  2 months later!!!  I would have just thrown it away.  I don't why I let it sit there for months without throwing it away but in case you haven't, try it.  worth a try

I have tried all means to start going through DIY and the community tips. Nothing is working. My ionic isn't charging nor it is starting. Please help troubleshoot it. It will be great if you could raise a ticket. Thanks.

Not resolved yet, but I’m speaking to a Person from Fitbit.
I’m expecting it to be replaced as it’s under warranty.

Hello,

I have spoken with Fitbit a couple of times and am very disappointed by the lack of customer service and Fitbit support.

I have purchased several FitBit watches throughout the years and have always upgraded to the newest version. I was excited to purchase the Fitbit Ionic as it is waterproof. I had my watch a little over a year and it quite working and became unresponsive. I called Fitbit and they replaced it with the watch below. My replacement watch only lasted approximately 6 months. I feel that I was given a defective product to replace my old defective product because if it wasn’t defective it should have lasted longer than 6months! I got online on the Fitbit forum and hundreds of people are having the same problem with the watches made during the time my watch was made. Apparently it was a bad batch of watches made, so Fitbit should remedy the problem. When I spend $250 on a watch, it had better last me longer than a year, let alone, 6 months.

I feel that Fitbit is not standing by their product by sending out a defective watch to replace another defective watch. I was only offered a 25% discount to purchase a new watch. I will not be spending another $250 on a new watch when I can’t rely on it to last longer than a year. I will have to do some research to find a company that will actually stand by their product.
Unfortunately there will be a negative review posted by me since my problem was not remedied.
I spoke with Brian and he was not helpful at all.

He would not transfer me to anyone that could make a decision, he would not arrange to have anyone call me back and he would not give me his last name to reference him.
He gave me my case number.

I hope to hear from someone soon regarding a remedy to this matter or I will have to be like the hundreds of other unhappy customers that will never purchase a Fitbit watch again. I will have to find a new fitness watch company that will stand by its product.

Thank you for listening to a very unhappy customer!

Mine is dead as well.  After swimming with it for a couple hrs it acted wonky for a couple weeks now is unresponsive. Got same discount resolution from support. So, $300, then $200 for replacement of defective product, it’s ridiculous.

Ive decided to go look at apple and garmin. Sad because  i have spent years in the fitibit world.

So disappointed fitbit is responding like this. Good luck everyone.

Put me on the list of unsatisfied Iconic owners. The same story, stopped working and nothing I do will bring it back to life. Offering me a discount for another is not satisfactory. I'm very disappointed since I live by both time and distance. I'll move on to something different like Garmin.
