I got an ionic for Christmas and as a new mum, a lot of my walks are with the buggy. The fitbit seems to be logging all my buggy walks as bike rides - how do I stop this?

@1SunFlower1, because your hand is holding on to the carts handles, the tracker is not detecting steps taken, but is noticing the vibrations of the handle. That is why is is recording it as a bike ride, and not a walk. Unfortunately, there isn't much that can be done about that, as long as your hand has to hold the handle and now swing freely. Some have found a solution by wearing the tracker on the ankle, but I have not tried that, so don't have any personal experience with it.

You can disable "auto start", and when you go for a walk, manually start the exercise, it'll be dead-on, always.
I think Fitbit is still working out the kinks, with the Ionic, in terms of auto-start, it's trickier with a GPS, to get this right. They should be able to fix your issue pretty easily, since very few people ride along say at 1-3 MPH, although they might struggle to determine if it's a run or ride, depending.
Is a "buggy" a baby stroller? If so, it might be recognizing the "micro bumps" of it as bike wheels bumping over things, I know my Fitbit is really good at auto-starting my rides, if I let it.
You have your "handedness" set correctly, right? I know it's doing some "interesting" calculations based on this part, it could be that simply starting the walk with the non-Fitbit hand would solve the problem (since it wouldn't get all the micro-vibrations).

use the walk, hike or run with GPS on
