I was wondering if the sleep score beta is going to start soon. According to this link, it should have started in November:

Hi, yes i have the Charge 3 and the revitalization says the same

@LThdwYm4 the indication is that the SpO2 sensor is utilized. There is no direct visibility into just exactly what data the SpO2 sensor has provided to the calculation (since the metric [Revitalization] that indicates SpO2 usage is available to devices without the sensor).

There's no guarantee that the sp02 data is represented in any way within
the sleep score beta results

Does it track respiration?

Why is this sensor in the device if it's not used for anything?

Anyone have any news on this being rolled out? Mods?

As with many others, I've been very interested in the SPO2 sensor capability since purchasing last summer; I was under the impression it would be useful by now (my mistake in assuming, I realize). Any info would be appreciated...thanks!

The sp02 sensor is actually useful although the data collected from it
isn't being shared in any raw state.
I've certainly noticed that the 'revitalization' part of the sleep score
correlates correctly to how my night had been. Eg if I've had alcohol the
score is massively lower to represent reduced sp02 through increased apnea

Yes, my understanding is it's part of the Beta sleep score...but I can't get the beta sleep score app, since they only allowed folks to sign up for a very small period of time last year.  Wondering if this is coming for the rest of us, or if I could somehow get the beta version.  Kinda lame those that want it can't get it.

Fitbit have the slowest product update cycle I've ever seen.
They also stay completely silent about what and when will happen.

I'd struggle to buy another fitbit.

It's hard to tell how significant the collected SpO2 data is for the sleep beta, as the sleep beta allows other devices to be used which do not include the SpO2 sensor. And these devices report on "Revitalization" as well.

So, while it may provide some impact to the scoring, without seeing raw data and understanding what components are calculating the score it's still not something I would consider fulfilling the marketing hype around the sensor.

What is the perception of the FitBit community?  Which, if any FitBit watches have any SPO2 functionality? If not, which of the FitBit devices is likely to first have SPO2 functionality?

Frankly none. Only potential functionalities with SpO2 Fitbit has ever mentioned are Sleep Score and Sleep Apnea monitor with the first one much more simple to implement.

Sleep Score is now being released (staged roll out) but Fitbit has confirmed it doesn't use SpO2

So no hope for me. Let's consider the SpO2 dead on arrival.

Dead brand full stop really.
Other brands are now doing much nicer light weight fitness watches as well
as android smart watches.
Fitbit can't seem to either very well these days.
Gutted I bought the Ionic over something else.

I am a "data junkie" … engineering background. I LOVE the data Fitbit gives me. I hope and pray the "Sleep Score" data is here to stay!!!

I like it BUT if you sleep 0:00-6:00 and then again 7:00-10:00 it only gives you a score for the first round of sleep. It should add both rounds and give you an overall day score.
