Fitbit Today screen won't stay on

Whenever I swipe up the Today logo appears but only for a second before going back to the clock face.  I can't check my hourly steps for my goals unless I go and get my phone and fire up the app.

I've tried resetting it but it still won't stay on the screen.  Any tips would be appreciated!  Thank you

I would like you to confirm that your Today app is updated, you can check this by going to your Fitbit app into the apps section. After this, find the Today app and if it says update then tap in that button and sync your Ionic to get the settings updated.

Thank you, @SilviaFitbit.   There is no update button, it just says installed. 

Under permissions there is a yellow triangle with an exclamation point.  I've toggled the permissions off and then all back on but that's still there.
