Fitbit ionic not notifying go sms messages

I want to use go sms and my message app but it doesn't give me notifications on my fitbit. Anyone else having this issue? 

I really don't want to use the stock message app and my only other preference is gosms 

How do I report this issue to fitbit and/or has anyone done this already?

@LadyKatYoung As Go SMS is just another app, its notifications should be possible on the Ionic. You’ll need to enable receipt of notifications within your settings of your mobile app, under Account - Notifications - App Notifications. Note that it won’t show up there until it actually receives a notification first.

Thanks for your reply lostlogic... 

I wish it were as simple as just adding them to the app notifications and that was it. 

I've tried adding them to notifications, rebooting fitbit, rebooting phone, re adding ionic, changing default messaging app notification from messages to go sms... in short, anything fitbit help team can suggest... Done.... 

It just does not work .. at all... 😢

@LadyKatYoung are these the only notifications you are not getting or nothing is coming through? Reason I ask- if I don't have my phone on at least vibrate, it is the same as DND- so nothing comes through. Recently a new thing creeped up- if my ionic is locked (PIN enabled)- nothing comes through. It is a quirky little fella.

@emili gosms is the only notification I am not receiving which is why it is such a pain as this is my chosen message app so I don't why I dont receive messages on my ionic.... I don't want to use WhatsApp or messenger or the stock android message app as I like gosms and have used it for years, especially with the oreo update which removes the ability to assign individual notification tones for messages, that makes gosms even more a no brainer for me.

But I just have no idea why it doesnt show notifications. It comes up as an option to use as my messages on fitbit but nothing there either... very frustrating !!!

I have just downloaded Go SMS Pro on my Galaxy S8, and I am not getting any of the notifications. I have chosen Go SMS Pro as my default text app on my phone and on the Ionic, I have checked to get notifications on my Ionic, I restarted both the phone and Ionic, I have re-installed Go SMS Pro, at this time, I don't know what else to do, I don't want to go back to the previous text app just because my Ionic can't get these new notifications. Can someone let me know how to fix this? thanks.

Unfortunately I don't think there is a fix yet... At least not one I've found. I had to install mood messenger which was the only one I could get to work with ionic...  Tech team had no answer for me either
