I have been trying to sync watch with new phone but would not sync. Then tried to factory reset watch and watch is only saying data not cleared sync and try again. Been at it for hours. Nothing works. This is crazy and should not be this complicated. Please help.

I bought a new phone and downloaded the ionic app then tried to sync watch with new phone. I did a factory reset on the watch because it would not sync and now the watch is only saying 'data not cleared sync and try again. I tried over 12 times to factory reset the watch but the same message keeps popping up. I am about to lose my mind. Please help.

You will need to go into your phones Bluetooth settings and unpair the Ionic from there, then go onto the fitbit app on your phone - Account card in the top right corner of the screen - "set up a device" - Ionic - if it asks you to replace your fitbit Ionic select that option, otherwise proceed to set up a new device and then follow the instructions to set it up, it should hopefully work after that.
