Fitbit ionic top right button not working

My Fitbit ionic’s top right hand button is not working so I cannot access the exercise screen. So basically it is now just a watch which is frustrating.

this is my second in less than a year which also isn’t very good

Have you tried shutting down your ionic or restarting it?

 

To turn Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa series off and on:

On your watch, open the Settings app

 > About> Shutdown > confirm the shutdown.
To turn your watch back on, press the back button.

 

To restart:

  1. For Fitbit Versa and Fitbit Ionic, press and hold the back and bottom buttons until you see the Fitbit logo on the screen. For Fitbit Versa Lite Edition and Fitbit Versa 2, hold the back button for 10 seconds.
  2. Let go of the buttons.

Tried a shutdown but the top right hand button doesn’t click or move when you push it. I have tried pulling it out gently but doesn’t work
