Fitbit leaderboard app does not load on the Ionic

Hi, I recently got a FitBit Ionic and have added the "leaderboard" app. It shows up as being installed, but when I tap the icon I get a message saying "Loading..." which does not go away (even after 15 mins).  Has anyone else had this issue and does anyone have any ideas how to get this feature working?

@lorrainehutch I’ve just installed this to try it out after your post. For me it installed on my Ionic without a hitch and works as expected.

I suggest you uninstall it using the Remove button within the app, (optionally reset your Ionic) and try installing again.

uninstalling and reinstalling the leaderboards app has not worked for me it's still always says loading and give some tip for usage. Which will never help because I can never open the app on my ionic. Please help.
