I was not getting notifications for messages or phone calls, apparently because I had just installed OS2 firmware. I read and tried numerous suggestions with no luck. It appeared that notifications were correctly set up in the Ionic and the Samsung phone. Then I pushed the upper right button, which brought up the list of notification (in this case "Nothing new here). Then I happened to push the left button which brought up the screen with the controls for both Screen Wake and Notifications. I set Notifications to "on" and it appears to be working again. Note: I believe that in the prior version of firmware you got to these settings by scrolling to the left from the main time screen.
This new "update" makes regular tasks take longer. The notification off for example I used nightly with one swipe and one tap. Now I have to hold the button, unlock the watch, scroll over and disable.
Also now when you check your stats the "today" logo shows up and is just a waste of time to see..I want to roll back. I'll give it a few days to see if the notifications work any better then will likely request how to roll back to the old version or just hard reset
Best AnswerNotifications have been dismal for me too, both before and after the OS2 update. I have the same phone as you -- the Samsung Note 8. Notifications work for about a day if lucky, but it has been about a month since they have last worked for me. I have tried every suggestion as well. It just doesn't work.
Best Answer@multiverse pre os2 my notifications used to be inaccurate from the sender. If notifications came in rapidly it would often show the message from the wrong contact name. I could usually figure it out based on content but still come on why can't it pass the proper contact name through !!
I don't have any update on os2 apparently I've had notifications off since the update
