Frustrated ionic wearer

I have only experienced frustration with this watch. When it works, it works great. When it fails, it fails at the wrong times and I’m just getting really frustrated with it. First it was the third-party o’clock failing, then it was the actual Fitbit clock failing, then it’s shutting off on me or freezing up.  I also feel like the battery life has gotten much shorter.  I’ve already mentioned in a previous post this is my third watch. I’m currently training for a half marathon and really depend on this to keep track and share with friends.  I am feeling like when I have had to return the previous ones I just get a refurbished piece of crap. I almost wanna for a refund if possible to switch to Garmin or Apple.

Yep.  Sounds like you got another failed dud.  Which is not that surprising according to many on here.  You should have “zero tolerance” for being given another defective product.  That is frankly embarrassing and very low QC standards for this brand.

See if they will give you a refund.  My replacement has not crashed yet -> so is working a bit better than yours.  No way is shutting off or freezing acceptable.  No way should you have to jump thru a bunch of troubleshooting hoops just to get the thing to sometimes work.  Kinda surprised.  But then again -> not really.  So many unresolved “known issues” it is a joke at this point.  Users need to take a “zero tolerance” position on defective watches.  Period.  Some are happy -> just because their device does not freeze.  Kinda weird when you think about that.

Most marathon runners need an normal accurate GPS watch.  This device “adds error” by trying to adjust for “step rate and stride length”.  No other device does this.  So expect your GPS distances to be different from other watches.  Makes no sense for GPS.

Really there is no need to suffer in Frustration - simply call Tech Support at 877-623-4997 and get your Ionic replaced right now while you can
Many have followed this straightforward advice and now have a replacement Ionic - we all should have “zero tolerance” for any defective Ionic
