My Ionic watch automatically updated to 27.68.9.15, causing the GPS function to stop working. It was continually say it was 'searching', but never connect. Never had an issue before this forced upgrade.
Tried all the usual things, like turning off/on, reconnecting wi-fi and bluetooth and even a factory reset.
What happened following the factory reset is that there was a second firmware upgrade to 27.70.7.14, where as expected I had to set up as if a new watch.
None of this has fixed the GPS issue, it still says 'searching' and does NOT connect to GPS. I have started an exercise session and even after nearly two hours it has not connected to GPS.
The Ionic was purchased because of the GPS, without it there is little point having a Fitbit product.
The watch is of little use anymore and definitely not fit for the purpose it was purchased for.
