GPS Tracking & Sync Errors

I've been using the Ionic since Christmas and have found it to work perfectly up until a day or two ago. I noticed yesterday morning that there was a small discrepancy between the steps on my device and those on the IOS app & PC dashboards. This happened a few times throughout the day and I found by resetting the device and syncing this would fix the problem.

Today the problems have gotten worse. I was at just over 2000 steps when I opened the app to log breakfast and the dashboard was showing that I had done over 20000 steps for the day. I reset and synced again and this brought the figure to within 100 steps of what was showing on the device. I repeated this a few times and the step count did not correct itself this time.

I then went for my usual daily walk which is around 9km and noticed that the alerts for each km were coming through at further points than they usually do  Around 1.2km was being walked for each 1km logged and the times per km were showing as much slower that my walk the day before even though I was moving much faster.

There was an update to the app around the time that I started to experience the issues and suspect that this may be the cause.

Has anyone out there had similar problems in the last couple of days or have any suggestions to fix this?

@BIGbUrJe Welcome to the Fitbit family! Thanks for reporting your experience after updating the Fitbit app. Have you updated the app to its latest version already? (released on February 21, 2018. Version 2.46).

Are you still experiencing the same?

There is also a new update for the Ionic itself. If you haven't done so already, please update it.

You could also try performing a restart on your Ionic if something like that happens again. That could help you out too.

Keep me posted! Smiley Happy
