Hello,
I've seen a few posts in here related to this topic but none of them appear to resolve the issue. My Ionic (27.31.1.16) has never successfully connected to GPS. I've tried multiple times to connect it via the "Bike" exercise in the app, but it simply always reads "connecting." There are no buildings or trees in the vicinity when I do this. I've checked the GPS settings on the watch and in the app, and they are all set correctly. Rebooting the watch and resyncing does not resolve it. Turning thr GPS functionality off, syncing, turning GPS back on, resyncing does not resolve it.
Thanks for your time.
Mike

Yes I’ve done that a few times. It didn’t resolve the issue. However today, it did connect successfully for the first time. I disconnected and reconnected several times to be sure, and it seems to be working. I’m thinking it was likely weather related as that’s the only thing that changed.

Have you shutdown the ionic and restarted it yet?

I also had the "it connected in under 10 seconds for the first 3 weeks and then suddenly tried to connect for 20+ minutes and failed"... after trying tons of things I was about to send it back when I realized that my issues started near when I swapped in a stainless band. This morning I put the original rubber band on and it connected before I even left my garage... YMMV. Good luck 🙂

Watch is a misery ! It did work for the first few weeks, then it suddenly stopped connecting to the GPS. I have read all the comments and recommendations concerning this matter, but if it doesn't work on a clear, bright, cloudless day, clear of buildings, battery fully charged and all settings set accordingly, running the very same way where it did work before and having resetted the watch to factory settings I would say that something is not right. Sometimes it doesn't connect at all during my runs. I am a runner and not a meteorologist or an engineer, if the use of this watch is tied to so many parameters it doesn't make any sense at all. Very disappointing for the 286,15$ that I paid.

A warm welcome to the Community @SunsetRunner! I appreciate the time that you took to share the experience that you've had with your Ionic. Also, thanks for the troubleshooting that you've tried in order to fix the GPS connection.
Please reply to the following questions:
- Is the GPS getting lost while you're exercising?
- Is the Ionic finding GPS once you start your run?
