GPS taking a bit of time to find signal after update

Hello everyone. I recently about 2 weeks ago had a replacement sent to me since my other one bricked on me. Though I notice when I first got my ionic and updated gps wouldn't work after many mins passing so I did a hard reset using the buttons on the watch and that seem to fix it. Though when looking for signal it takes up t 1:45 to find a signal which a bit of a long time at least to me. My other one I had before it brick on me would take less then 30 seconds to find a signal. :S Is this normal to be taking that long?

@SunsetRunner It's nice to see you around. Thanks for the details mentioned and the troubleshooting tried.

There are a few reasons why GPS might not connect. Review the information below, then check the requirements and troubleshooting steps.

  1. Environmental factors, including tall buildings, dense forest, steep hills, and even thick cloud cover, can interfere with your device’s or phone’s ability to connect to GPS satellites. If the signal is blocked—either because you're underground or due to another reason—GPS won't work.
  2. Confirm that GPS is enabled on your device. For more information, see How do I turn on GPS for an exercise on my Fitbit device?

I would like you to restart your watch and check if the GPS connects as expected.

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

I'm having the same problem, but only since the firmware update. My routes have not changed, so it's not an issue with tall buildings or trees.
