GPS won't connect

I have had my Ionic for about a year now and suddenly I cannot get my GPS to connect before a run.  I have uninstalled and installed the device on my blue tooth and reset it multiple times.  Still no luck.  I am an avid runner and this is really causing a lot of issues with trying to find new routes.   Any other suggestions or tips?

I'm having the same issue, but in bicycle mode. For two years my GPS has been working fine, but starting in the last couple of weeks, my ionic is having trouble connecting to GPS in bicycle mode.

Your ionic has it's own GPS receiver, and does not use the phone's or needs to have the phone with you to work.

Trees and clouds can affect the reception of the GPS signal.  Plus the watch has a fairly small antenna. 

I find standing still helps in getting a lock.

The iconic GPS failing after a year is a problem that seems to be affecting many people,. myself included.
