Recently it seems when I use the Game Golf app I cannot get through 18 holes without my Ionic dying with a drained battery even though I start with a 100% battery. Any solution to this would be helpful! I really like using the app for a range finder.

@DeeGawro A warm welcome to our Community!
I will gladly assist you with your Game golf app. How does your Ionic behaves on days that you don't golf? Is your Ionic constantly syncing with your phone? Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app on your Ionic.
Let me know how it goes.

Mine does the same since I had to replace my Fitbit (ionic). It is because the screen does not go to sleep - but I can't find a setting to change this. On my older Ionic the screen would sleep between active use (like in everyday use). V annoying as it's a great, simple, tool

My Ionic and game golf used to be fine prior to the Fitbit OS 3 update, since then I can only get 10 holes in before it dies from no battery........always charge 100% prior to golf......
Did all the tips such as change to default watch face, did a factory reset, uninstalled app and reinstalled.
I now use my Garmin golf watch instead...

Its a pity as the game golf app is quite good but now unusable.
Im going to look at the new Samsung Activity Watch, as it has a golf app included...

I’ve had the same problem, is there any solution? Ideally if the Ionic would go to sleep when not in use, I believe it would last the round. There is no option to change this, not that I have worked out anyway.

That’s exactly why it won’t last the round. Mine used to go to sleep and was fine for 18 holes but the developers said they had to disable the feature because it was causing other issues. Now it isn’t fit for purpose - unless you only play 9 holes. Apparently they are ‘working on it’

I had an email yesterday from the App creator. They said when you launch the App, press and hold the LH button, this will then give you the option to select screen wake ‘manual’. I haven’t tried it out yet, but it should help the problem.
