Hi there,
I have and Ionic and a Flex 2 I swap between during the day (Ionic for day to day and running/interval training, Flex 2 for work and dance class) and I have noticed a day this week when I was wearing the Flex and the Ionic was in my car there are 8+ hrs of crazy high heart rates measured.
I guess from reading there must have been vibrations or something, and it’s not a big drama but it has dramatically changed my cardio fitness score. Is there any way of deleting the HR data for a period of time so it doesn’t affect this any more? Should I be turning my tracker off when I am not wearing it to prevent this happening again?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Gabrielle Tracker was not being worn between 7.35 and ~9 pm

I can understand how the ionic can add steps to your count, but as for heart rate that, I'm not sure how. Unless by leaving it in your car it got too hot and caused the sensor to malfunction or maybe there was too much RF interference. Perhaps don't leave it in your car next time put it in your bag or leave it at home and see if the same thing occurs.

Thanks for your reply.
I have been doing the same thing for over three weeks with no similar results.
However, there was a crazy tropical storm that day though so the erroneous data might be relating to that moving my car or something.
I am not really concerned about how that happened, more about if I can delete portions of HR data, and ideally stop it from recording data when I am not wearing it...

Unfortunately I don't think you can delete already recorded information, however if you want to stop it from happening again you could try turning off the heart rate detection by swiping across to settings then down to heart rate and turning it off. You shouldn't have to turn off the entire watch as that might cause other issues.
