After a decidedly rough start to my owning my Ionic I'm pleased to say that patience has paid off. I dont know if this us at all possible but in my mind my Ionic and Samsung S7 edge had to almost get used to each other. It was as if over time the syncing and notification issues seemed to slowly get better. I've upgraded my phone to the S9 plus and paired my Ionic to the new phone and touch wood it's all working perfectly. While I think the Ionic is a superb fitness tracker, its not very smart. Not sure how much of this is possible to sort via updates but I suspect most of its smart lackings are due to hardware limitations. I read a post on this forum from someone who also said that the platform by which developers can design apps on is very basic. Maybe fitbit may want to consider making the software for developers better and then we may see some useful apps emerging for the Ionic. Like I said, I'm not really sure how the technical stuff works but just a suggestion, food for thought fitbit.
