Heart Rate Accuracy

Hello Fitbit,

There seems to be a glitch in the recording of heart rate on the Ionic.  I have had my Ionic for only 3 weeks and rely on it for an accurate heart rate, both during exercise and non-workout periods.  It does a fabulous job while I am wearing it and viewing my heart rate on my watch.  The problem lies when I sync my watch.

After recording a workout, I go to sync:  my accurate heart rate gets recorded to the Workout Tile, however, an inaccurate heart rate gets recorded in my Daily Heart Rate Tile.  In other words, I can look in two places on my phone (or on my computer), at the EXACT SAME TIME PERIOD and see two different heart rates.  The Workout Tile is accurate but the Daily Heart Rate is about 10-15 beats too low.

Can you please tell me the logic behind this or if it is a glitch and will be addressed in the near future?  So many of us have chosen the Fitbit Ionic over the Garmin for the heart rate function.  If the heart rate function is not accurate, I would hate to see us all return our watches and switch over to Garmin technology.

Please advise.

Eileen

The workout detail is showing more detail; i.e. heart rate sampled more often.

The daily heart rate I believe gives reading at 5 minute intervals. It cannot fit as much detail in an all-day graph as it can in a graph of one workout.

Before posting, re-read to see if it would make sense to someone else not looking at your Fitbit or phone.

Ahhhh that makes sense. Is there any way to record at closer intervals than 5 minutes during the day?
