Heart Rate and Sleep Tracking Issues

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

Lately, my heart rate monitor has been reading extremely high and my sleep tracker quits tracking in the middle of the night. I looked today and my heart rate was showing 118 bpm on my face and app, so I checked it with a medical blood pressure cuff which read 67 bpm. I contacted FitBit and while on the phone with them the face and app went up to 142 bpm but my actual never got above  69 bpm. They had me reset my ionic and log off and back on to my app and it came back on with a heart rate of 90 bpm although my actual was 69 bpm. They told me it was not a medical device and would not be accurate, but had no explanation of why it was reading more than double. Told me thanks for calling and hung up on me!😡 I have been with FitBit since my original charge and have been through three charges, a charge 2, a blaze, and now an Ionic I have always stuck with FitBit, even with product issues, because of their helpful customer service, but this was ridiculous, and I doubt I will be continuing my service!

A warm welcome to the Community @Jlconrad24. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience with Ionic and our Support team.

Sorry to hear that they hang up on you. I'll be glad to assist you and pass your feedback to them, our goal at Fitbit is to help you resolve any issue.

I would like you to confirm that you've checked the tips that are mentioned on this article. This can help you improving your heart rate information, if you're still experiencing this type of inconvenience please reply to the following questions:

- Does it show you inaccurate information when you're performing any activity?

- If the answer is yes to the previous one, then reply to this one: What kind of activity did you perform when you detected inaccuracies in your heart rate readings?
- How close and high on the arm are you wearing your device?

Also, I would like to mention that Fitbit watches won't give you the same information like a medical device.

Finally, you mentioned that your sleep tracking quit tracking in the middle of the night. I would like you to provide me with more details about it and I'll be glad to continue assisting you.

Keep me posted. Robot Happy
