Heart Rate monitoring randomly stopping

I purchased my ionic in April 2018 and its been working fine but the last month it has become really erratic. Sometimes the heart rate function stops working for quite a few minutes, or it reads really low when actually my heart rate is at 150.

Ive tried everything, restarting, wearing higher during exercise, wearing tighter wearing looser. I have also done the recent update. Nothing makes any difference. 

Please can you help.

Mine also has started to stop SPECIAL. when im working out! Suddley turn on black like theres no puls
