For 299.00, and well taken care of, I believe this Ionic should last at least five years. Most computers do not lose their relevancy for a longer period than that! ( 20 months and mine has been on very expensive life su
I’ve had my charge 2 for 6 years and it still works. My iPhone 7 is 3.5 years old and it still works fantastic. I’ve had a laptop for 5 years and it still works. I’ve had an iPad 2 for 8 years it still works. I would expect the Ionic to work until the battery doesn’t hold a charge. I’d expect 5+ years.
My Ionic just bricked last Sunday after updating it. It’s 2 years old. I take good care of my devices and electronics. My Ionic has no issues following the update. It was still holding a battery charge for 3-4 days on average. It had 95% battery life when the screen turned dark and the watch would not respond. I feel like my watch was stolen by the update. Fitbit I would like my Ionic returned to me please.
mine has done the same, I can't help feeling the attempt to update the firmware has somehow resulted in the Fitbit no longer working. Did you get a resolution?
Best AnswerI'd like to ask fitbit the same question. Mine just suddenly went blank never to wake up again and that was after a year and a half of use. I talked to CS and did everything they suggested but nothing worked and their final words of consolation was "Too bad so sad please buy another one". (I'm paraphrasing.)
I understand consumer goods don't last forever but a $250 watch should last longer than 18 months. I wanted to support the company because their message of health and fitness goals resonated with me, as opposed to other companies touting their "smart" features and form over function, but a company that doesn't stand by its products in terms of quality guarantee and support is a company I can't trust and I quickly walked away from them. I now own an Apple watch and tell others what led me to its purchase when asked about it.
