How do I get to music while using exercise apps now?

Since the last update the buttons function differently and now I cannot get to my music while using any of the exercise apps. Previously if I held down the top right button my music came up and I could change songs or change volume without exiting or stopping the excise app in progress. Can anyone tell me how to do that now? Thanks

press and hold the left button.  That should drop you into the music app.

Thanks @VandyCWG, but do you also have to swipe now to get to it? Click then swipe while I'm running? What were they thinking, that ridiculous! Is there any way to change the button for music or make it so I don't have to swipe too? I tried holding it down to drag but that does not work.

yea, its a click and then swipe.

I could see that being an issue, but I have never interacted with the music controls on a run.  My bluetooth headset does it all.  Volume up and down and a double tap on my multi function button changes songs.  Maybe your headset does something similiar?

Unfortunately my headset controls only work for volume when paired with Ionic, and cannot change the songs when using Ionic. I change songs a few times per run at least and need access to my playlist. Sigh...why in the world would they make it harder to access our music? It's like no one at fitbit actually uses the products.  Thanks for your help 🙂

No one at Fitbit uses the products......This is why they give people at the major newspapers a chance to test them out.Why use buggy software when you can ask the world to test it?

Make the music app the top left or bottom left app on the first page when you swipe the clock page to the left. Now when you press the top right button or bottom right button will open the music app depending on where you placed the music app.
