According to fitbit:
"To turn Fitbit Ionic and Fitbit Versa off and on:
On your watch, open the Settings app > About > Shutdown > confirm the shutdown.
To turn your watch back on, press the back button."
Generally speaking there's no need to turn off your tracker but it's probably a good idea if you don't intend to use it for a long while.

Hi @Defa you can shut your Ionic down by swiping left on the display to the settings gear cog then scrolli down and select about and scroll down and tap on shutdown. I don't tend to do this oftern myself as I don't really have any reason to shut my Ionic off.
If you mean a reboot, you can press and hold the left and bottom right buttons until you see the Fitbit emblem appear which will trigger the reboot sequence. I tend to reboot my Ionic after each charge cycle which keeps it fresh and responsive.

Best AnswerIf after shutdown it won’t start again, try holding the back and bottom right buttons until the logo appears
Best AnswerThis seems to no longer be an option. When I go to settings and swipe down, the About text shows but there is no option for Shut Down.
