I have now tried every hard and soft reset, I have charged Ionic and a sturdy table and still the step counter increases!!! My Ionic keeps switching off and then keeps buzzing ..... I have had this 8 months!!!! ....

I want the Admin now to advise me how I get a replacement ASAP as I. Running the London Marathon in 12 days and if I don't have a replacement... I am going to be P*****d beyond belief!!

I have logged an report with Support and have heard nothing..... and after all the money I have spent on this!!

Hi wendy, yup tried that all I got was reset, soft reset, factory reset then it's clearly an error..

It's more than an error when so many people have this problem.

Now a waiting game on Support response on how to get a replacement ... service is the worst i have ever had deal with. All the give is excuses when clearly there is a major problem with these Fitbits ... just need to read this forum alone

@Dannycoops   Did you purchase via Fitbit or one of their Retailers?

In Australia we have success going back to our Retailer.. Not being familiar with the overseas market I was surprised when a user posted that Fitbit have asked/told Best Buy not to refund...

In Australia we have a 2 year warranty, I believe the same as the UK, and I'm approaching that 2 years in October.. It will be interesting because my first Ionic lasted  5 months (GPS) , its replacement, 4 months (sudden Battery) and now the third is perfect after 9 months and lasts 6 days on battery.

These were replaced by Fitbit Support after me documenting the issues and always responding to their emails... The squeeky wheel gets the grease..... but keeping it all polite and calm..

But your time frame will probably go against you even when my replacements were 3 days from door to door via Hong Kong..

I would be replying now to Support with your case number... and keep it going..

Please keep us posted...

Hi , yea I got mine from a catalogue over here so not sure what their returns policy is?

Looking at these forums it's clear these Ionics have a major issue with as so many people reporting the same issues, and Fitbit are so slow to react or give the same b.s responses rather than try fix the issue

@Dannycoops  That's the way it starts with the automated responses and each reply you have a different contact person..

Keep it up, because the 300+ pound Sterling is your incentive.

Since 2011, I have found Fitbit Support works.... Document, document and still document.. because then you reply with.... " I have replied x number of times and the problem is still with me"....

Don't give up... and keep in mind the human side, that most posts on any product, not just Fitbit they all about complaints and issues and we rarely hear about successful usage of Fitbit hardware products..

Because of your post,  I have asked my retailer to outline their returns policy inside the warranty period...  Thanks.... because this will help other Australian users.

Hi thanks for that I will check mine also. Think Fitbit need a major overhaul by the looks of all the issues raised, and that's just the last 4 weeks lol

@Dannycoops  Go for it and let the Forum know...

I wish you well in your Marathon and I trust your retailer will have positive news for you..

I noticed London is just waking up, California is well asleep and it's nearly 6pm here so timing is on your side...for your retailer...

I have my computer time display in Military so that I can time my responses.. and helps me to be interactive as much as possible.
