Getting ready to sell my watch. Deactivate the device from my account, but forgot to reset first and remove pin. Now i need to pin to open (which I have) but watch will not set up as new device. Bluetooth finds it but says it has a error

@Evansbk27 A warm welcome to the Community. Thanks for getting in touch about this.
Since your Ionic was removed from your account but the PIN wasn't removed before. You'll need to erase or factory reset your device, this will remove your apps, stored data, personal information, credit and debit cards and saved settings.
I'll be around if you have any additional questions.

I have tried hard resetting several times and it does not work. Now it says I need my phone to unlock (which is not tied to account any more). Whenever I try to reactivate I cannot see code because watch is locked
Tried calling customer support and the were zero help. Said I was out of warranty and there was nothing they could do.
Now I have a Fitbit, that works perfectly. But can't unlock it or re-pair. Also, Ionic not supported on max or windows.
Absolutely ridiculous
