How unlock Fitbit Ionic?

How can I unlock my ionic with my phone

Welcome to the Fitbit Community @Fjw, hope you're doing great!  To unlock your watch with your phone:

1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap or click the Account icon > your device image. 
2. Tap or click Device Lock.
3. Find the option to reset your PIN code. 

Note that after you reset your PIN code, you must add your cards to Fitbit Pay as if you were setting it up for the first time.

If the steps above don't work, please turn off everything that is Bluetooth enabled.  Tablets, PC, other phones. Wireless headphones hanging around - power off.  You don't want any stray 'signals' effecting this process.  Then, remove your Ionic from your phone.

• Go to the phone's Bluetooth settings and remove your Ionic from there
• Then, open up the Fitbit app on your phone.
• Select the 'account' icon in top right corner of screen.
• This shows "your account", which should have your Ionic under 'Devices'.
• Select "+ set up a device".
• Replace Ionic. You will need to agree that you are indeed replacing your Ionic on next screen.
• Continue through all instructions.  You are basically pretending to add a 'new' watch to this app.  Follow all instructions.  You will get a 4-digit code to input during the process (this is not the 'unlock' code).

Still cannot unlock the Fitbit

its not working. When I start to connect new device, it suppost to show me the 4 digits code on fitbit screen, but it shows only 'unlock with your phone', and I can not see the code.

I have carefully followed the steps for unlocking the ionic via phone. However the 4 digit code cannot be seen because ionic is still asking for the same (w/c is unlock via phone).

Re step #2, i cannot see "device locked" hence i cannot reset PIN.

In addition, i cannot manually pair ionic to my phone though it can be seen by my android phone (Note 9)

I know how, this happened to me and I was able to fix it:

Hold all three buttons at the same time; the FitBit will restart and start to sync. If not, try again.

Then, follow the other steps about how to reset your password!

My ionic will not take a charge the red battery is the only symbol I get I have changed plugs and moved to another outlet same result this ionic is about 6 moths old

You might have to hold the buttons if you have not already. 🙂
