I get the message "enter the number on your Ionic display"

Replies are disabled for this topic. Start a new one or visit our Help Center.

In the app it tells me to 'enter the number on my iconics display' but on my iconics display it has a dashboard with numbers 1-9. I've tried entering 4 digits from both my phone and the watch and both say it's incorrect.

I've already reset it a couple of times.

How do you get the 4 password numbers to come up?

Thanks

A warm welcome to the Community @jaxelle. Thanks for the details mentioned.

I appreciate the reset you performed. It sounds like your Ionic hasn't been set up and this is why your app is asking you to enter the numbers you see on your watch's display, please confirm you're following this set up procedure

I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Hello,

No it hasn't been set up, thats what im trying to do. But when its bluetooth has synced and found the watch my phone asks me to add in the 4 number password but the watch only has a display of the 9 number panel, not 4.

Could it be that its lynced to someone else's phone and stats? beause my cousin has given it to me from when she used to use it, although I have reset it.

Thanks

Jackie

Thanks for getting back @jaxelle. I appreciate that you mentioned your cousin gave you this Ionic.

The 9 number panel you're seeing might be related to the lock option in the watch. For this, you might want to ask your cousin for the 4 digit PIN code that was set up and then unlock it. After this, your cousin can change or reset this option by doing the following:

  1. From the Fitbit app dashboard, tap the Account iconUser-added image> your device image.
  2. Tap Device Lock.
  3. Find the option to change your PIN code.

You can learn more about it by checking this article How do I use the device lock on my Fitbit device?

Let me know how it goes. I'll be around if you need further assistance.

Is there not a way to reset the whole thing from my end as the 4 digit password is not remembered?
