Hi,
How do I enter/input my resting heart rate?

Sorry get none of that. There is NO HEART RATE DATA...none...except the current BPM
Just speaking to the 'customer support' at Fitbit and he doesn't understand why I don't have certain things on the watch!
So maybe there is something wrong!

Looking at that screenshot I agree there is still a problem here.
It still looks at though the account is not fully set up. I was particularly concerned that although your dashboard shows steps it doesn't show any distance.
Could it be something as simple as one or more of your profile settings (age, height, weight ...) is incorrect?

@Wood1eIf your watch is showing an active HR you should have data. What have Support suggested.....?
Currently Fitbit is recording approximately 24 pulses/minute. If your watch is syncing to your phone you could try something..
When you swipe right to left from your clockface, do you see exercises ?.. Does workout show up. If so tap that and start it.. I use that for many things to record the HR.. Let that run for a few minutes, stop it, see what shows on your watch.. Then sync the watch and you can then examine the results on the Exercise tile .
This will help you get to a solution.. Here is a typical image on the phone with a renamed 32 minute Workout...

Support - He didn't have the 'resources' to give me an answer!
Maybe the Heart Rate is only 'tracked/stored' if an exercise it set up?
That would be typical, I just want to record my heart rate forever, I Don't want to 'track only when exercising'
These companies do seem to make a simple process bloody complicated!!!
... As I can't I have taken the watch off and emailed the guy I bought it from telling him to expect it back.
Obviously, if Fitbit comes up with a fix then I won't return it.

@Wood1e.. Here is one of my sleeping graphs... No exercise there.. All I do is setup a Custom Activity.
But before, that does your Exercise App on the watch have the "Workout" ?
Because your Ionic is tracking and it will have up to 30 days of data before it casts of the oldest day before you sync.. Important that it's showing your pulsing HR..on tjhe watch....
Here is the graph... No exercise there..... I have a missing heart beat... All ok, and I try to pick it up.. But the end result is my average sleeping HR...

Thanks I hope the watch has an exercise app otherwise I have spent a lot of money for nothing.
I noticed workout, but as I cannot get the heart rate tracking working, I have not looked at. As it seemed pointless, untill I can get the tracking working.
When I exercise my heart is jumping out my chest, so in some respects it is not that heart rate I need 🙂

I think I should give this a rest because it's information overload unless you can get the HR working. but as I said earlier if you can see the HR pulsing when you swipe up from the clock face it has to be working
This HR tracking is odd... are the green lights flashing under the Ionic when its on your wrist.. ?
You have the exercises here and manageable through the PC..some of them have GPS and you can turn that off..
Also I suggest you look at the manual because some of the images I give people are there.

There is no green lights that I can see on my watch 🙂

Now that's a clue!
On the back of your ionic, in the middle of the sensors there should be a rapidly flashing light. This is what's used to measure your heart rate. No light, no heart rate.
Go into the settings on your ionic and make sure heart rate is on. If it is and there is no light then your fitbit is not working.

@Wood1eTo add to @SteveH because I nearly sent you this image and I though we were trying to overload you with info on the Ionic..
From the Clock face swipe right to left until you see the Settings gearwheel, tap that and you should see some of this and then swipe up until the Heart rate shows.
Tap that and it toggles from On to Off, then push your left button to return to normal and see if the lights are there...

I turned it off where you said but that just shut down the Heart Rate monitor.
I started again...this is what I see when I swipe down: https://screencast.com/t/EErje41P

@Wood1eI just woke for a bathroom break and saw this positive email... 3-50am here..
What you see now can only happen if the HR option is ON.. Also your RHR will not show on the watch if your HR gets into the fat burning zone (FB) and above. The circular graph advancing into each zone until your HR gets below the FB zone.
When you swipe right to left on that view you will eventually see a vertical RHR of the last 7 days.
We all learn from these dialogues, I noticed on my Ionic when I turn the option OFF the green lights were still there..
When you have a successful sync'd to your phone you will see what I was posting earlier. You do that by dragging down from the top of your phone screen..
To add images without screen cast you use the camera symbol above like this.. It can be PNG or Jpeg
@MarreFitbitThanks for keeping an eye on us... We made need your help if there is trouble syncing here like the post you helped an iPhone user here at this link. This time I think it maybe an Android phone...

Sorry to wake you up 🙂
"When you swipe right to left on that view you will eventually see a vertical RHR of the last 7 days."
When I swipe there is nothing...
Anyway, I have just got off the phone from Fitbit and they are sending me new one, as they have agreed the Heart Rate although showing on the watch is not showing even after syncing on the Dashboard or Phone APP.
So I could be back with questions about a working Ionic 🙂

@Wood1eYou didn't wake me, our house is active 24 hours and I have a musician son who is up and watching the Indian IPL cricket on Foxtel.. At my age I need a couple of bathroom breaks during the night..
But, that's great news because Support have established an issue and I haven't heard of that before..and.... I was fearing we were going to have syncing problems.. My Ionic was just replaced after 6 months because it was not connecting to the GPS and Support were wonderful. I had a replacement watch within 3 days in Australia and sent from OS..
Was your Ionic recording steps even though the HR recording was faulty.?

Hi,
I am not sure if it was recording steps! That was another issue, I had done 2300 steps even though I was not wearing it. 🙂
Yep was very good I am amazed by support.
