I currently have a charge 2 and purchased a rose gold metal band.   Is there any chance that my rose gold band will fit the new IONIC ?

Unfortunately, no, the charge 2 bands are completely different from the Ionic ones (size, mechanism).

No, the bands are completely different.  However, they may make a rose colored band for the Ionic, but I'm not sure.
