Please advise how long the battery life of Iconic lasts for when running with the GPS on?
Run a marathon on Sunday and two hours later , watch dead . Frustrated .
Battery was fully charged 100% .
What's the purpose of spending money on a watch when it does not fulfill its function.
Second time it has happened at a race.
Any suggestions ?

Hi @oceanrunner ,
The time is variable, depending on things like screen on settings, use of other apps, etc.
Here is a thread where marathoners discuss their results. You might also want to search 'marathon' in the Get Moving forum.

The problem's worse than battery charge-time.
The Ionic never fully tracked a marathon successfully for me. I was lucky to get near 10 miles before GPS lost connection; in last year's Boston Marathon Ionic crapped out before the 5 mile marker:
2018 Boston Marathon, as measured by FitBit Ionic
I assure you, that empty space between Ashland and Boston were, in fact, run by me in 3:34:59.
This year's marathon will be run with Garmin, which has performed flawlessly in the three months I've had it... full marathon distance runs have used about 10% of battery charge. GPS has not once disconnected or drawn course maps over waterways & through buildings.
I go a full week between chargings and use GPS about 8 hours per week.
