Is there a way to sync a calendar to the Iconic? I don't see that in the app store nor do I see those notifications appear. Former pebble (kickstart backer) coming and once the Pebble was synched you had calendar reminders even if your phone was out of reach.
Would like to be able to see my calendar widget on the watch without my phone nearby.
Should I just go back to the Pebble?

Just thought I would throw a new thread out there about calendar access from the Ionic.
Seems like this is the basic of most basic functions of a smart watch. I am surprised its not already built in but any timetable from Fitbit or from a 3rd party?

You can get the notifications if that's what you're looking for. Appointment reminders. Under notifications, click Learn more about notifications.

Me too!
Past Pebble user.
Blaze wearer (since August): happy to have calendar notifications, but very unhappy not to be able to see calendar, upcoming and past, on my Blaze.
I would buy Iconic if it had a calendar watch app. Since not, have returned to my Pebble, and am considering Apple watch.

To those suggesting notifications that is not what he is talking about, On the Pebble i could scroll through the calendar to know what was coming up, not having to wait on notifications.
Right now i would say the Pebble time 2 if released would have been superior to the Ionic. Fitbit should have learned from Pebble rather than thinking they were better.
I'm considering returning and looking at a fruitful watch or just stick with my Pebble Time.

I processed my return, I found water drops in shower could cause taps on screen and disabled notifications for a day. That is weird and so i’m Done. Back on my Pebble Time and enjoying my notifications being back and able to see my future calendar events.

How is it possible to label something a "smart watch" if it is unable to even just allow checking the calendar entries of the current day?
It is essential that the watch supports looking at the calendar entries ahead, instead of just receiving (reminder) notifications.
Does the API already exist to support such functionality? In other words, would it be relatively easy to code a respective app oneself?
I realise that, in general, there would have to be support for both iOS and Android, but this is such an essential smart watch functionality that it is unacceptable to not offer it. If the Fitbit Ionic would offer access to one's Google calendar, I would have bought it already. As it is, I'm still waiting for the watch to acquire a minimum of "smartness".

What app do you have on your phone and what is it capable of doing?

I have the g calendar app on my ionic. Shows my google calendar. But shows them one day off. Things for the 2nd show up as scheduled for the first. Contacted the developer and was told to check my time zones on the app and the phone, sounded reasonable. But did so and all was the same zone. Now I can't remember how to delete the app. My laptop is down and working from tablet and phone.
