Hello,
First off I apologize if this is already a form, please transfer my message, make things easy for me since I am new to the FitBit community. I recently just bought a Blaze and have been excited about it.
I just have questions. Do you have to have an iphone in order to receive the texts or phone calls?
Is there a link for the instructions? I was thinking this fitbit watch was going to have access to make calls as well as texts.
The Iconic- does this watch make and receive text messages as well as phone calls? A lady at my work told me it does. But, I was thinking there has to be something more to it. Like have an iphone or bluetooth device?
If those two don't have that access, is there a fitbit device that does this? (make calls, text) I have been trying to do some research and have not found any answers.
Thanks.

It really depends on what you mean by 'make phone calls'...
The Ionic will display the incoming texts that you have as well and notify you of incoming calls and other application notifications.
That said, none of the Fitbit devices have microphones nor speakers. So you can neither speak through nor listen through a Fitbit tracker for phone calls.
It also does not allow you to compose (make) text messages. Only receive them. So if your friend asks if you're meeting at 5pm, you can't even respond with a simple "yes" without reaching for your phone.
I believe that on the iPhone, not only do you get a notification that you have an incoming call. You can choose to accept it or decline it. I'm not sure how useful that is, since you still need to whip out your phone to actually talk (see above... No speaker, no microphone), but apparently this is the source of some angst.
I hope this helps.

Shame really I always wanted to be like Michael Knight and talk into my watch as if I was talking to KITT
