Hi All

Is anyone else having the same issue. My Iconic stopped responding and only shows the Fitbit logo and can stay like this for an hour or more it happened while taking a 2.5 hour hike Sunday and only came back just before i reached home and of course lost most of the steps ect. I emailed support and the usual response was to try to reset it. well it happened again Monday morning and tried resetting it and nothing happened at all so waited for about an hour and it came back on. Then again Monday night about 10.30 but i fell asleep so not sure what time it came back.

It has just happened again but only lasted for about 20 minutes. I make sure i keep it charged and check i have enough battery life before i go out walking.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks for posting the steps that you've tried with your Ionic and for the time you're taking to respond our support team. You have done an excellent job performing the suggested steps. But let's try a couple of steps that might help to bring to life your Ionic.

I'd suggest to clean the contacts of your Ionic. These contacts can become obstructed by microscopic dirt or debris that prevents them from making a good connection to the charger. Use a toothpick or toothbrush to clean the charging contacts, do not scrape them with anything metal because this may damage the plating and result in corrosion.

Please try to restart your Ionic again. How are you changing your Fitbit? We recommend plugging your charging cable into a USB port on your computer or other low-energy device. If necessary, you can use a UL-certified USB wall charger. Don't use a USB hub or battery pack to charge, and only use the charging cable that came with your tracker. Did you have issues before with the charging cable?

Please take a look of these recommendations to charge your Fitbit too.

Finally try these steps:

  1. Restart your tracker a couple of times and make sure that it is fully charged
  2. Reboot your phone and check that you phone and Fitbit App is up to date
  3. Open Bluetooth Settings on your phone and delete your Ionic from there (forget device)
  4. Open Fitbit App > Account > Ionic > Remove device (tap on the trash can in the upper right corner)
  5. Reboot your Bluetooth and double check that it is not connecting from there
  6. Force quit the App. Open it again Account > Set up a device

Please keep communication open and let our team know that you're performing all these steps, so they can continue with the next step.

Let's give it a try and please keep me posted. Cat Happy
