My running partner and I both have the Iconic watch. Lately we have been noticing our splits are different. Our settings have us both receiving notifications for each half mile. For example, today our half mile marks were off by at least 150 to 200 meters. As we are running together with the same brand watch this is concerning because we don’t know who’s watch has the correct distance or pace.
Has as anyone else had this problem in their running group? Or any suggestions on how to fix it? Thank you.

Thank you for the information!
I guess I just find it shocking that my running partner and I start at the exact same time/place, run side by side, and some how end up with a different of 150-200 meters of distance. As someone who ran college cross country I never had this problem when the team used different versions of Garmin watches together.
Once again, thank you for the reply. 🙂

When running with GPS it should be that distance that counts for notifications and not the stride length?

Unfortunately, that is the decision Fitbit chose for calculating distance.

Thank you for the information! Seems a tad flawed but it makes sense. Thank you
