Increase time duration of the screen

I had a Surge and the feature of the timer.  I puchased the Ionic as it seemed similar to the Surge however when I select the timer it stays on for about 10 seconds.  I would like to know if the time duration could be increased to a minute or even longer until I am done with the timer.  I am a nurse and use it in my work and do not like the short duration.  Any suggestions.  Thanks, Sarah

If you go to the settings app on your Ionic and scroll down to back-light delay, you can choose from 10, 15 and 20secs.
