I just got the Fitbit ionic and it took forever to update the software. I still haven't actually worn it and it's saying I have burned over 6000 calories and have over 7000 steps..it's been on my desk the whole time. How do I fix this?

You should post a picture or video about this. wow! 6000 calories for setting it aside.

A few folks have reported unaccounted steps in the past. This is the first time someone brings up calories along with it. The standard resolution is to log a driving activity. But ?...

Should you not be returning the device for a replacement or wait until issues stabilize? How do you know if the device is not defective?
