Ionic Adidas Battery

Spent $400 on the Ionic Adidas 2 years (and 1 month) ago.  Battery now only lasts 1 day, and it's continuing to go down.  Contacted FitBit, too bad, so sad, sent me 35% discount code.  Is expecting a $400 watch to last more than 2 years too much to ask for?  When we purchased it at SportChek, they assured us that the battery was replaceable (as we were replacing his previous watch for the same reason).  Very, very disappointed as it's a great looking watch and he loves the features.  Expensive paperweight is all I can say, won't be sucked into that one again!

Hi @shjepson  Fitbit doesn't replace or sell the batteries, but some people are able to do it themselves. The sales person at SportChek was wrong. Often in sales, they don't know the product and don't bother to look it up to help the customer. Sorry they didn't know the facts to tell you correctly.

Hi @shjepson -  if you look in the forums other people experience short battery life, so it may not be an Ionic issue.

After restarting the Ionic, things to check is not using snore detection, any SpO2 clock face, GPS and other functions, see also Can I extend my Fitbit device's battery life? 

You can also try turning off your phone's Bluetooth and restarting the watch - that way there can be no communication with the phone which sometimes overloads the watch, and also try changing to a Fitbit clock face in case the one you have has developed a fault.

Also monitor how long it takes to charge and if it reaches 100% - if it charges normally the battery may be fine. It should still have 80% charge or more after 600 charges.

If you don't want to wait for the charging, you can use the SimpleClockPro watch face from the gallery, as that monitors charging and keeps a record so you can monitor the charging performance accurately over time.
